About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorkiy. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships. Language on board of all ships is German.
On board of the M/S Rhein Prinzessin the classical ambience of a river cruise awaits. Spacious cabins, some with balcony, tasteful and light-filled living areas and friendly and courteous service leave nothing to be desired. With a length of 110 m and four passenger decks, the ship can accommodate up to 140 passengers. In addition to the panoramic lounge with bar and Captain's Club, you will also find a spa, fitness equipment and a large sundeck on board.
Life on Board
As on all Phoenix ships, the atmosphere on board the M/S Rhein Prinzessin s is cozy and informal with a classic ambience. The dress code on board is casual. At the traditional captain's dinner a more elegant wardrobe is expected, but evening wear is not needed here either. Regional events, live music and light entertainment will make your trip an all-round successful river experience. Board language is German, currency is Euro. Girocard as well as VISA and MasterCard are also accepted.
The elegant and comfortable outside cabins are approx. 15 m² in size and are equipped with shower / WC, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, telephone, small daily newspaper and voltage 230V. Cabins on the Orion deck have a private balcony. On the Saturn deck, the cabins are equipped with large, non-opening windows. The twin plus cabins are comfortably located a half a deck higher. On the Neptun deck, the cabins have smaller windows that can not be opened.
Food and Beverages
On board the M/S Rhein Prinzessin you can look forward to a rich breakfast buffet, multi-course lunches and dinners, with open table time, as well as afternoon coffee / tea and midnight snacks. The well experienced and friendly kitchen and service team will spoil you with good European cuisine. The traditional captain's reception, offered on many trips, as well as the captain's dinner with a festive menu complete the culinary offer on board.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
During your cruise, a choice of books, board and card games is at your disposal. Regular dance evenings with live music are offered. Also wellness lovers are in good hands on board the M/S Rhein Prinzessin. Sauna, whirlpool as well as fitness equipment invite to the relaxation or exercise. The spacious sundeck is equipped with sun loungers, seating areas and shaded spaces, from which you can enjoy the passing river landscapes.
Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and it’s people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company. Payment is on board. At some cruises a variety of shore excursions is already included.
