About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorkiy. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships. Language on board of all ships is German.
On board the M/S Paukan 47, you will find a relaxed colonial atmosphere and a cozy and informal ambience. From the wrap-around porch, you will have a peerless views of Myanmar's numerous pagodas, temples and markets. With a length of 46 m and 3 decks, the ship can accommodate up to 32 passengers. A cozy salon with bar, the promenade and the view and sundeck provide enough space for all guests on board.
Life on Board
As on all Phoenix ships, the atmosphere on board the M/S Paukan 47 is cozy and informal and with a maximum of 32 guests is particularly familiar. The dress code on board is sporty-casual, matching the tropical climate of the region. On-board languages are German and English, currency is US dollars, in addition VISA and MasterCard are accepted. An entertainment program can be offered only in a limited form due to the small size of the ship.
The outside cabins aboard the M/S Paukan are about 12 m² in size and tastefully and comfortably furnished. The cabins are equipped with shower / WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, open veranda with wicker furniture on the main and upper deck and 230 V AC.
Food and Beverages
Aboard the M/S Paukan 47 full board plus awaits you with a variety of culinary delights. Look forward to a rich breakfast buffet, multi-course lunches and dinners with European and typical Asian cuisine. During the day, free mineral water and coffee / tea are offered. The experienced kitchen and service team spoils you with everything the kitchen has to offer.
Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and it’s people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company. Payment is on board. At some cruises a variety of shore excursions is already included.
