About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorkiy. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships. Language on board of all ships is German.
The M/S Lan Diep is one of the favourite cruise ship of the cruise line, which brings you in a comfortably wa to the most beautiful places of the Mekong. The ship was built in Vietnam in the traditional Asian boat style. Characteristic for this style is the usage of fine timbers of the tropical region. With its low draught the ship is ideally suited for use on the Mekong. The interior is colonial and looks cozy and very tasteful. With a length of only 50 m and maximum of 44 guests you will experience the cruise in a very small group. On board you will find a restaurant/bar, a spacious sundeck with promenade and an outdoor salon.

The dress code is casual and should be adapted to the climate of the tropical regions. A selection of board games and books is available. Regional events, such as folklore performances, language courses or lectures on land and people complete the program on board. On-board languages are German and English, currency is US dollar.
