About Phoenix Cruises
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorkiy. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships. Language on board of all ships is German.
Annika sets new benchmarks in the premium class and offers a tasteful and high-quality ambience in a luxurious style. There are elegant facilities on 4 passenger decks. And there is a stylish arranged panoramic lounge with a bar, the panoramic restaurant 'Vier Jahreszeiten' with one mealtime, an elegant bar with outside terrace and depending on the route also with an a la carte restaurant. Additionally, there is an atrium lobby with reception, a small boutique, an excursion bureau, a lift, an internet corner, a sauna, a steam bath, a small fitness area, a hairdresser, laundry service, large sun deck with a small pool, deckchairs, seating groups, shaded places and a terrace at the bow as well as bar service and a small prospect terrace at the stern and wi-fi (fee required). The Ship is 135 metres long and 11.40 metres wide and offers place for up to 180 passengers.
All staterooms are outside staterooms and very comfortable and luxurious. All are located on the Orion- and Saturn deck do have a french balcony and the staterooms on the Neptune deck are equipped with small, not openable windows. In all staterooms, there is a shower with a toilet, a hairdryer, an individually adjustable air conditioning, a flat screen tv, a radio, a mini bar and a Nespresso Coffee machine. Also, there is a safe, a telephone and a small daily newspaper. The beds can be changed on request from a double bed to two single beds.
On board Annika you enjoy a full board service. Included is a rich breakfast buffet, multi-course lunch and dinner with an open mealtime, afternoon coffee, tea and biscuits as well as a midnight snack. Numerous crew members are there to cater for your physical well-being. Included are also a captains welcome and a captains dinner with a festive menu. The crew will take care of your special diets on request (Diabetics, Gluten-free, Lactose-free etc.).
Bordlife and Entertainment
On captains evening all guests prefer to dress elegant, on the other days a sporty and leger atmosphere lets everyone wear an informal dress. The on board language is German and the currency is Euro. VISA- and MasterCard credit cards are accepted. Smoking is only permitted in labelled areas on the sun deck.
Shore programs and visits
Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and it’s people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company. Payment is on board. At some cruises a variety of shore excursions is already included.
